My boyfriend wants us to try water sports. What are some good ones to try for beginners?

Neither of us are very flexible and we don’t want to injure ourselves. What are your favorite Water Sports to participate in?

  1. Leona T Said,

Make sure you do them in the shower, otherwise it can get nasty and smelly real quick.

surfing teaches you to balance and you can do lessons at a popular beach. take care

Pack a picnic lunch and rent a couple of kayaks or a canoe. You don’t need to plan a lot. Just enjoy a few hours on the water.

  5. Richard Said,

If you have access to a boat, tubing is really really easy. Next step up is two skis. That’s fairly easy too.

If you live on the ocean, grab a long board (10′-12′) and take up surfing. With a long board you can catch even the smallest of waves. This means you don’t have to swim out to where it is deep.

Wake-boarding is pretty easy to get up on. I would suggest that for beginners. Single and double skiing is really fun, but a little more difficult to get the hang of. Depending who’s driving the boat, tubing tends to hurt the most, so I would avoid that.
